## Who can inject in Nevada

### [Wrinkle-relaxing injection rules](https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-454.html)

Nevada Legislature · NRS 454.217. This covers neuromodulators, the wrinkle-relaxing injections discussed here. Read who may inject, what work their license allows and which locations qualify. It also limits who can be given the job.

### [Filler injection rules](https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-629.html)

Nevada Legislature · NRS 629.086. Scroll to this section for dermal and soft tissue fillers. It lists who may inject and where. Keep this rule tied to those injections when reading it.

### [Nursing roles and supervision](https://nevadanursingboard.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Aesthetic-Practice-Decision-PDF.pdf)

Nevada State Board of Nursing · advisory approved January 17, 2025. This explains training, assessment, treatment orders and consent. Read the supervision definitions beside the procedure table. The requirement depends on the procedure and nursing role. This is board guidance.

## Product source and safe handling

### [FDA's counterfeit botulinum toxin alert](https://www.fda.gov/drugs/drug-alerts-and-statements/counterfeit-version-botox-found-multiple-states)

U.S. Food and Drug Administration · 2024 alert. For wrinkle-relaxing botulinum toxin injections, FDA asks people to check the product's authorized source and the injector's license and training. The alert also names symptoms after injection that need medical attention. It describes specific incidents.

### [CDC's injection safety advice](https://www.cdc.gov/injection-safety/about/index.html)

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This explains why needles and syringes aren't shared between people. It also covers single-dose containers, meant for one person and one procedure, and multi-dose containers, which need fresh equipment at each entry.

## License checks and complaints

### [Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners](https://medboard.nv.gov/)

Find license lookup and disciplinary information here. Use it for people this board regulates; check the person's license type first.

### [Nevada State Board of Osteopathic Medicine](https://www.bom.nv.gov/)

Check osteopathic doctors (DOs) here. The site links Verify a License and File a Complaint. Physician assistants may hold a license from this board or the Medical Examiners board; match the lookup to their license.

### [Nevada State Board of Nursing](https://nevadanursingboard.org/)

Follow License and Certificate Lookup to check whether someone holds an active Nevada nursing license or certificate.

### [Medical Examiners complaint page](https://medboard.nv.gov/Patients/File_a_Complaint/)

Online and PDF complaint routes. Read the board's instructions and check that it handles the professional involved.

### [Nursing complaint page](https://nevadanursingboard.org/submit-a-complaint/)

Find the details and documents the board requests. It explains that investigation comes before a decision about a complaint.

## Check wording you're unsure about.

These notes reflect October 2026; rules can change. Ask the responsible board about unclear wording. Give the section number and the question you have, so you can discuss the same passage. Keep its reply with your notes, and see the [about page](/about) for what this guide covers.

Pure Med Spa LV is a reading guide; it runs no clinic or pharmacy and sells nothing.
